A superb looking, quality and condition musical bracket clock by Barraud, Cornhill, London. The three train fusee movement, with 6 pillar engraved & signed back plate & original verge escapement. Plays the selected tune once, after striking the hour, every hour. Twelve bells (+ striking bell) & twelve hammers, with large diameter pin barrel playing choice of 6 most attractive Scottish traditional tunes. 8” wide painted dial, with gilded brass hands, with subsidiary tune selector & strike/silent. Suburb elaborate break arched case with brass finials, frets, feet, reeding, etc. The whole clock remarkably original & playing beautifully.

A high quality twin fusee bracket clock by the respected maker J.J.Elliott. Beautifully made and finished movement striking the hours & half hours on a gong. Subsidiary dials on the engraved & silvered dial for strike/silent & fast/slow. Beautifully executed floral decoration around the chapter rings. High quality classic break-arch in dark mahogany, with wooden side frets, reeded, canted corners to the door, brass handle & pad surround & brass feet.

A small and most attractive 8 day line fusee timepiece. Shaped shouldered plates, anchor escapement and pendulum hold fast. The 5”/13cm convex painted dial signed “Thos. Hunt. London”. Blued moon hands and convex glass. The beautifully proportioned rosewood case set off by brass edged reserve panels brass inserts to the canted corners, lovely finial and cornucopia ring handles and inlays to the base. A lovely little clock.

High quality 8 day twin line fusee “5 glass” by Dent. The massive movement signed “E. Dent & Co, 61 Strand, London. 1770.” Striking the hours on a bell anchor escapement. Pendulum hold-fast. 4½” /115mm wide painted dial also signed “Dent, 61 Strand, London”. Blued steel hands classic 5 glass case in mahogany with ripple moulding below top, bevelled plate glasses to sides and top and silvered sight piece to the front door.

A good twin Fusee Bracket clock. Heavy quality line fusee movement striking the hours on a bell. Anchor escapement with pendulum hold-fast. The 6”/15cm flat painted dial signed “Geo Sharp, Fish St Hill” (Britten lists at this address 1845-49). Cast brass bezel with silvered sight ring and thick bevelled glass. The flame mahogany case with brass canted corners applied carvings to the front and wooden drop ring handles.

A most unusual and visually stunning fusee timepiece by Payne, 163 New Bond St, London, (listed 1826-51at this address). Heavy quality chain – fusee 8 day movement with pendulum & holdfast. Signed engraved silvered 4″ dial with Payne’s dainty pierced – heart hands. Brass bezel & convex glass. The back of the case is of rosewood veneers – the rest is clad in red tortoiseshell with a wealth of scrolling foliate brass inlays & brass cladding to the mouldings. Large beveled top glass.
