An unusual and most attractive French 8 day timepiece by ‘R.E.D’ Paris. (see Allix & Bonnert P.213). The fusee movement, fully visible through the glass tube case, features a silvered two-plane lever platform escapement. Enamel dial, blued stell hands, shuttered wind & handset. Decoratively turned front to rear pillars.

Most unusual Swiss 30 hour ‘Goliath’ lever escapement movement, date stamped May 1886. The enamel dial displaying day, date, month & moonphase integral with seconds. The nickel case with 5 pushers to set the various subsidiary dials.

Very elegant silvered chapter ring and gilt mask dial with Roman numerals. The good quality gilded case with very pleasing proportions is of the style ‘Cannalee’- a fairly rare style.

A good 8 Day French Carriage Clock by the respected maker Japy Freres. The quality movement with stop-work to the going train, original feature lever platform and striking the hours and ½ hours on a bell. It also has alarm and repeat functions, white enamel dial and moon hands. The elegant gilded brass one-piece case features large thick bevelled glasses with the repeat button through the top one. The brass back door has shuttered access holes for winding etc.

A high quality English (?) 8 day fusee carriage clock timepiece. The (anon) movement with semi- integral lever escapement, with the engraved cock on the back plate. The (1 ¾ dia) enamel roman dial with blued steel hands. The very heavy, high quality, fire-gilt ‘one glass’ case is beautifully chased/engraved all over except for the back door and glass surround. High quality and rare!
