Visually stunning Boulle cased mantel timepiece. Chain fusee anchor escapement movement, 4” silvered dial engraved ‘Payne 163 New Bond Street, London’ and ‘Great Exhibition of all nations 1851’. Dainty blued steel pierced heart hands favoured by Payne. The Boulle work on the three sides and top of the case is superb in quality and design. Bevelled top glass and rosewood back.
