A high quality & beautifully proportioned classic 8 day London longcase clock. The 5 pillar, anchor escapement bell strike movement, with lots of nice touches, including a repeat cord. The 12” dial signed ‘Thos. Gardner in ye Minories, London’ (listed 1740 d.1770). The mahogany case is of good quality with choice flame veneers, brass infill’s to the hood columns & superb finials.
